Don't Miss Our Red Carpet Arrival Event and the Fun of Opening Weekend!

The Back-to-Back Calder Cup Champion Hershey Bears are set to hit the ice and start their title defense on Opening Night on Saturday, October 12, and prior to the game, the club's popular Home Opener Red Carpet Event is set to take place amid a weekend jam packed with fun and excitement.

The puck drops at 7 p.m. on Opening Night versus Cleveland Monsters, but fans are encouraged to arrive at the GIANT Center early for an entire day of fun with the Home Opener Red Carpet Event.

Starting at 3 p.m. there'll be music, a photo opportunity with the club's old ice resurfacing machine, a face painter, and a kids area. Popcorn, cotton candy, and drinks will also be available via a cashless vendor. Plus, the Hershey Bears Team Store will be open for fans to snag Calder Cup Champions gear and merchandise for the new season.

At 4 p.m., all attention will turn to the red carpet as members of the Bears arrive for the first game of the season. Players and coaches will be introduced, and fans will have the opportunity to get autographs and pictures with the team as they walk the red carpet. 

The pre-game fun will continue inside GIANT Center with a Party on the Concourse, featuring a DJ, corn hole and Jenga games, and a kids area to make signs and get your face painted to cheer on the Bears. 

The Calder Cup and the Richard F. Canning Trophy will also be on display for photos pre-game and during the first and second intermissions. 

The club will raise its 13th Calder Cup banner in a pre-game ceremony that night. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 6:40 for the special event. Thanks to Highmark Blue Shield, all fans in attendance that evening will receive a replica Calder Cup mini banner as a keepsake.

If you can't make it to Opening Night, the Bears are also home on Sunday, Oct. 13 with a 5 p.m. puck drop versus Cleveland. All fans receive a magnet schedule courtesy of PNC Bank, and the pre-game Party on the Concourse continues, featuring the music of Jason Carst, a local artist who sings creatively twisted covers of popular tunes, as well as photos with the Calder Cup prior to Sunday's game.
